Search and Rescue

The successful action of maritime Search and Rescue operation requires close co-operation with the vessel in distress as well as efficient actions by other vessels near the scene. In an emergency, all parties involved in SAR operations should be well-trained to understand and manage their tasks, whether they are involved in planning, coordination, communication and/or on-scene operations.

Akela training is provided to suit the specific needs of our customers, whether they are SAR operators, authorities or commercial shipping companies. Akela employs trainers who are qualified in training and and experienced in actual operations. All training is executed in accordance with IMO IAMSAR, local co-operation and global maritime agreements.
